Hello Japan Crate family,

Our hearts go out to everyone affected by COVID-19. The current global situation has been extremely difficult, and we hope our crates have brought you comfort during this unprecedented time.

That being said, we have an extremely urgent announcement. Overnight, Japan Post temporarily suspended multiple shipping services due to a lack of outbound flights from Japan. Unfortunately, this includes how we’ve been sending your crates each month.

This leads to both good news, and bad news.

The good news is we found a shipping method that allows us to continue sending crates, The bad news is this method is quite expensive; and as a small business, we’re not able to cover this cost entirely. This means, in order to keep sending your crates, there will be a temporary shipping fee applied to all crates. This price change is effective immediately (as of April 1st) and is temporary (until Japan Post resumes normal operation).

We hope that you understand this urgent change and please know that this is unavoidable given the circumstances. As grocery stores are limited around the world and online purchases are taking longer to deliver, we take our responsibility of delivering your crates more seriously than ever.

We sincerely appreciate your support during this difficult time as we continue to bring you the best crates & curations we possibly can. Our goal has always been to share the fun of Japan with you, and right now we can all use a bit of fun more than ever.
